A license-free FRS walkie-talkie with 16 channels, and it is commonly sold in multi-packs that include earpieces with attached microphones. It is known for its durable construction, long-range capability, and clear audio quality.
\n Durable construction: built with a hard, solid, and wear-resistant shell made of thick PC plastic. The anti-drop design can withstand drops from up to 1 meter (about 3 feet) without damaging the housing.
\n Audio quality: The radio is equipped with high-quality speakers and offers loud and crisp sound. For private communication, the earpiece uses a transparent acoustic tube that delivers sound directly to your ear.
\n VOX function: This hands-free feature allows you to transmit a signal simply by speaking into the microphone, which is useful when your hands are occupied.
\n Compatibility:Family Radio Service (FRS) walkie-talkie, which means it can be used with other FRS radios, including other Retevis models, on the same channels and CTCSS (privacy codes).
\n Long battery life: The 1200mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery can last for 10–12 hours of normal use on a full charge. It comes with a low-battery alarm to remind you to charge it in time.
\n USB charging: Each radio comes with a USB charging dock, providing a convenient way to charge the devices. Some packages also come with a six-way multi-charger for charging multiple units at once.
\n
\nIncluded earpiece and mic
\nThe k-plug style earpiece with an attached microphone is included in most RT17
\nmulti-packs. It has the following characteristics:
\n
\n PTT button: The earpiece features a sensitive push-to-talk (PTT) button, allowing for hands-free conversations.
\n Acoustic tube: The transparent acoustic tube is designed to fit snugly in the ear canal for long-term comfort and discretion.
\n 360° rotating clip: A stainless steel clip on the mic allows you to fix it in a convenient, accessible position.
\n
\nA good fit for several scenarios, including:
\n Caribbean Warehouse and construction site communication
\n Trinidad and Caribbean Restaurant and retail staff coordination
\n Caribbean School and security team communications
\n Family use for camping, hiking, and cruising
