The MICNAUX Audio Hum Eliminator / Audio Signal Isolator is a passive ground loop noise isolator designed to remove 60Hz buzzing and electrical interference from sound systems without affecting bass response. It works by using built-in isolation transformers to break the physical-electrical ground loops between your audio source and output equipment.
Passive Design: The unit operates fully without requiring any external power source or battery.
Gold-Coated Connections: Features a dual-channel design with gold coating to enhance signal transmission and resist corrosion.
Aluminum Shell: Built with a durable aluminum alloy casing that helps shield the inner components from external electromagnetic interference (EMI).
Compatibility Note: This device is not compatible with 48V phantom-powered studio microphones.
Common Product Configurations
Depending on your specific setup, MICNAUX provides this technology across a few different hardware variants:
MICNAUX 3.5mm Audio Noise Filter (Model: MIC_NF01):
Specifically tailored for standard 1/8-inch (3.5mm) AUX lines.
Commonly utilized to eliminate alternator whine or ground loops in car stereos, laptops, and portable headphone setups.
MICNAUX Dual-Channel Audio Signal Isolator (XLR / TRS):
Built with professional interfaces including balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS phone jacks.
Features a physical Ground Lift switch to instantly disconnect ground loops on stage mixers or studio monitors. [1, 2, 3]
MICNAUX Multi-Channel Multi-Interface Box:
An all-in-one multi-purpose hub equipped with XLR, 1/4" TRS, RCA, and 3.5mm AUX inputs and outputs.
Ideal for transitioning between balanced and unbalanced signals while safely solving loop current hums
How to Use AUDIO SIGNAL ISOLATOR
Connect the output of your audio source (like a laptop, mixer, or instrument) to the Input side of the MICNAUX box.
Connect the Output side of the box to your target device (such as an amplifier, PA system, or active speakers).
If using an XLR variant with a dedicated switch, toggle the Ground Lift button to find the setting that completely kills the background buzz.
